Architects: Plasencia Arquitectura
Location: 23 Mare de Deu de Montserrat Avenue (Barcelona)
Floor space: 793 m² including a ground floor, mezzanine level, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th floors.
This multi-family residential building, which occupies an area of 793 m² in the Guinardó district of Barcelona, was designed by Plasencia Arquitectura in 2019. The building houses six units, two of which are duplexes, and commercial premises on the ground floor and mezzanine.
The main facade of the building was designed to blend in with the surrounding environment using brown Eco Klinker facing bricks, from Piera. Dark-toned lacquered aluminum carpentry, thermal breaks, laminated and low-emission glazing were used for exteriors.
All of the homes in this multi-family building are equipped with an aerothermal system for DHW production and temperature control supplemented with a 200-liter tank. Heating is by means of aluminum radiators, while air conditioning is provided by ducts concealed behind the dropped ceilings and fan coil units.
